Needs Assessment and Service Coordination. The NASC service undertakes comprehensive health needs assessments and service co-ordination for the DHB. “Assessors” assess aged people against a set of criteria, at the request of anyone: the individual, family member or friend, GP or hospital. They formally determine what level support and Care the person requires.
These are legal documents, usually drawn up by a lawyer or Public Trust – setting out who can make decisions on personal care and financial matters, if the person is unable to. These are activated when a medical professional decides that a person is no longer capable of making or communicating decisions.
All rooms are furnished but residents are able to personalise their rooms with some of their own belongings.

Yes, an extensive range of free activities are available each day. Staff are dedicated to looking after this task.
A hairdresser attends to the hairdressing needs of the residents. Charges are very reasonable.
We wash residents delicate clothing but all other clothing is out sourced. We ask that all clothing is clearly named prior to entering Hillview.
Hillview is a smoke and vape free facility. No smoking or vaping is permitted, by staff or visitors, on site. Residents are only permitted to smoke or vape in the designated area outside the sunlounge, with supervision if necessary.
